About
Born in the toxic sludge of Springfield, Oregon. Joseph Traver grew up in the southern Willamette valley where he fell in love with drawing at the age of 8. He spent the majority of his childhood making Spider-Man and Ninja Turtle comic books. After he graduated from high school Joseph went to college where film chose him. He spent a year studying Film & Media Arts at Temple University where he picked up some of that east coast energy then transferred to Portland State University getting his BA in Film. He has directed several short films including Dry which gained some traction and was considered by many students at Portland State to be among the best films made at PSU. The film was officially selected for the 2024 Viking Film Festival. He is currently working on multiple short film projects including Dragon, Heartland, and Lunch Break. In his free time Joseph writes and draws his comic Dragon Calamity which is published on Patreon.
